Suicide is a death that is caused by yourself with a desire to die as a result of the behavior (“Suicide” 1). Some people think just because a person is depressed automatically means that they are suicidal, but that is not the case. Depression doesn’t always lead to this but if it gets bad enough it can get to this point where someone might want to end their life, but it doesn’t always happen. Depression lasts a long time - at least two weeks. It affects emotions and everyday life. Major depression can lead to terrible impairments for some people (“Major Depression” 1). Not one person has the same exact signs. Not everyone who’s depressed suffers from every symptom, some only have a few while others may have more or even all. Depression can be caused by a mix of many things, such as, coming from heredity, the world, biological, and psychological factors. Antidepressants take time - usually two to four weeks to work and often symptoms such as sleep, appetite, and concentration problems improve before mood lifts (“Depression” 1). Antidepressants are a type of drug that is used as a treatment for major depressive episodes and other condition. Sometimes it can lasts for months. But if someone wants a effective treatment they could go to talk therapy or both talk therapy and medicine. Daily exercise, getting enough sleep, spending time outside in nature and in the sun, or eating healthy foods can also help you feel better (“Teen Depression” 1). When someone does become depressed their moods, likes, and dislikes obviously change because they aren’t in a right mind set. So they will most likely lose energy and not sleep good, so to change that someone could take then to a gym and do a light fun workout, and change their sleeping habits. When someone is depressed you want them to go outside a lot because there are more stimuli to be processed than there is inside. But everyone is different, so you can’t treat each and every person the same way when trying to help. No two people are affected the same way by depression and there is no “one size-fits-all” for treatment (“Depression”
