Distribution-Australia only. Coastal northern and eastern Australia.
Physical description-A large 'goose sized' bird. It has a long black neck, ending in a wave of white. A slice of white shines from its black tail feathers, and the top of it's wings, back and front, are also white. It has a sharp, orange beak.
Lifestyle-These birds live in large groups, mostly consisting of over 100 of them.
Habitat-These birds live in floodplains and wet grasslands. This probably means their diet consists of fish.
Food-Since the Magpie Goose lives in floodplains and wet grasslands, this means that they eat food that comes from the water, like fish. Their name also might come from the fact that they eat fish, because most geese live around water sources.

Nest-The Australian Pelican's nest consists of a shallow hole in the ground. They line it with scraps of feathers, leaves, reeds and other vegetation.

Southern Cassowary
Distribution-The Southern Cassowary lives in northeastern Australia. They also live in the tropical rainforests of Indonesia and New Guinea.
Physical Description- The Southern Cassowary had hard black plumage, a blue face and neck, two red 'wattles' hanging down it's throat. It looks a lot like a emu.
Lifestyle-These Birds are independent. They are usually found alone, apart when with chicks.
Habitat-Rainforests. The dense area and their secretive nature not to be seen, makes them difficult to see.
Food-Southern Cassowaries feed mostly on the fruit that has fallen to the ground. They will also eat anything from snails, to small dead mammals. They normally eat alone.
Nest-They make their nests in a scrape in the ground, lining it with plants and leaves.
Eggs-Southern Cassowaries have four eggs.
Flightless
