Free Will In The Tragedy Of Macbeth By William Shakespeare

This essay is an argument about a character named Macbeth that is in the play The tragedy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare. The argument is whether Macbeth is controlled by fate or if he had his own free will throughout the play. This argument will show how Macbeth has his own free will because of these reasons on why he has his own free will and not controlled by fate. The first reason on why Macbeth has his own free will and not controlled by fate is at the part when he had murderers ordered to kill Banquo. The reason why this was his own free will was that there wasn’t really anything that convinced Macbeth to have murderers kill Banquo. Since Macbeth was king he obviously doesn't want anyone to find out at all. He had murderers kill banquo to hide his own murder for the king. They basically knew the future of Macbeth. They just had Macbeth's free will and his own decision to what he will do after they told him he will be king. This doesn’t show anything about some weird effects of Macbeth having some sort of consequences. Macbeth just had his own will into killing the king,Banquo, and Macduff’s family. So here is how Macbeth had his own free will for many different reasons. Remember he had his own will into to killing the king as he never wanted to, but Lady Macbeth basically convinced him into killing the king. They don’t show anything of Macbeth being controlled by fate or some sort. The witches didn't have some sort of fate controlling Macbeth as they basically knew Macbeth was going to do all of this stuff.They just went with the flow and had Macbeth do his own decisions because they knew he was going to kill the king and all of this prophecies they told
