There used to be commercials about how Macs were better than PCs, but how much of that is actually true? I will be talking about how Macs aren't that great with a few reasons, like how they are overpriced and not worth their price, and why it's probably a better idea to just buy a cheaper PC. How hardware can barely be upgraded, along with how apple does not use a lot of basic industry standard trends, and how the software isn't flexible or customizable, along with how Mac OS is just dumbed down Linux.

The current, cheapest computer from Apple is the MacBook Air, costing around $1099 and up. This model gets you a 1.6GHz Dual-Core Intel Core processor, 4gb of ram, along with 512gb of harddrive space, and around 9 hours of battery life. If you do not know much about computers this might sound good. But in reality you can pay around a bit less than half the price, and get a laptop

Mac OS originally took its base from the free open source OS called NeXTSTEP and decided resell it as their own operating system, and Mac OS shares some basic similarities to Linux, like how they are both Unix based. But Mac OS is pretty closed as compared to Linux, as it is open source and people can change lots about it. Mac OS itself isn't very customizable, and it's somewhat user friendly for the people who do not know how to use basic computers properly. For the most part any software you can use on a Mac would most likely be on PC and maybe Linux. PC also has a lot of free open source programs that mac probably does not have, and if you want something similar you might have to pay for it.
