I would like to strongly suggest that we not place the MCV in the customary location or a Hot Zone for the Atl Slient Protest. Over the last few years during major events the MCV is always parked in the same location like Lenox Station. In my opinion, by continuing to deploy the MCV in the same location for major events we are putting the MCV and MCV personnel at risk of a terrorist or attack by protesters. The last protest at the Lenox Station had hundreds of protesters show up. We know that terrorists look for patterns or commonality in our security.…

Police brutality is the excessive use of force, meaning they harm the innocent and act tougher than they have to be. Officers who are supposed to protect and serve citizens are doing the exact opposite. Every day in America police officers cross the line and abuse citizens. They do it because they can and know that they can get away with it. Officers know that their department will let them commit many false arrests, protect them from all the abuse they’ve done, and none will be charged.…

Police officers’ jobs are very stressful and require a large amount of attention to detail. This attention to detail can be diverted when an officer is not fully prepared for duty. For example, when I am in the academy I must be fully prepped the night before in order to have my morning to get dressed and eat breakfast. However, if I do not shine my boots the night before I would need to shine them in the morning. This would shorten my morning and the potential for me to miss breakfast and as a result not perform in Physical conditioning as well.…

It is a wonderful opportunity to participate in this tremendous project. I am honored as well as excited to be riding with this outstanding female officer who was interested in helping me not only on my project but also assisted me in choosing a better career in law enforcement. Days before the scheduled date, the officer took it upon herself to contact me first immediately she was assigned to ride with me. This police officer though she told me she loved her job and was professional, it is obvious by the way she carried herself while on the job and is always with…

To me, the meaning of right and wrong can be defined by one word, integrity. Integrity is choosing to do the right thing even when others are not looking. My father was the first person to instill this into me as one of my values. He informed me to always do the right thing even when you have the opportunity to do wrong. My value of integrity continued to grow after I joined the Air Force.…

It is understood that not all insubordination may due to an officer’s unwillingness to follow orders, but due to a lack of training and supervision. However, failure to hold officers accountable for their lack of order anddiscipline can lead them to believe that their actions are acceptable. Not all reprimands need to be harsh, as leaders they must also practice fairness. They shall commend an officer’s good work, but also coach and train their failures in an effort to fix the causes of failure. Law enforcement officers are supposed to be exemplary role models.…

The correctional arm of the criminal justice system is extremely important to the community that it serves. Having a place to house those who have committed crimes keeps those communities safe and protected. With that being said, correctional facilities should abide by the code of ethics or something similar to what has been adopted from the American Correctional Association (ACA). Correctional officers adhere to a code of ethics and professional conduct, which is a set of standards pertaining to morals and the effective discharge of duties. The ACA Code of Ethics, adopted in 1994, outlined the association 's expectations that its members display honesty, respect and a commitment to professionalism in their work.…
