If a small business has a leader, the leader must be able to do all the work internally and externally. Larger organizations will require the leader to focus more on the future of the company, the reputation and image, and how the company can be effective in the community. The social and psychological climate plays a big role in leadership. Emotions can alter the leadership process for anyone. One must be able to control emotions and psychological issues in order to be a great leader. Employment patterns are another factor that can affect leadership. There are different types of work patterns that leaders must be aware of to have effective leadership. Full-time, part-time, temporary, independent, and contract workers are a few types of employment patterns. Leaders must be able to understand the patterns in order to be effective.
