In the book Lord of The Flies by William Golding there is a unknown war plane the crash lands onto a deserted island. Ralph is among the oldest of the boys that is confident, while Piggy, as he is derisively called, is a fat asthmatic boy with specs who nevertheless possesses a keen intelligence. Ralph finds a conch shell, and when he blows it the other boys gather together. Among these boys is Jack Merridew, an aggressive boy and hunter who marches at the head of his choir. Ralph, whom the other boys choose as chief, leads Jack and another boy, Simon, on an expedition to explore the island. While exploring that island they saw heard something odd and rumors of a beat when around wich started to make Jack go crazy after some claimed to see the beast and they tried to hunt it. The savagery was brought out in them when Jack tried to over though Ralph as the leader to make him leader. After Jack trying to overthrow Ralph as leader he goes and make a new group or tribe. He also wanted to tell them the truth about the beast. After the attack more savagery is show when The Hunters steal their fire and Piggy's specs and causes Ralph’s group to attack each other. After the attack They go to to to Jack about what he did and to get the specs back. Their attempt fails with the murder of piggy, from Roger pushing a boulder off a cliff and hits Piggy. The last act of savagery is shown when Roger and Jack plan to kill Ralph. Ralph was lucky and was told by the twins Sam and Eric. They told him on how unsafe he was around the hunters
