Longhorn Steakhouse Case Study

For those who enjoy steak, we know that when going out to a steakhouse, our judgment will be particularly high. Location, service, menu, and of course the food, are all factors that come into play. A restaurant I was once a regular at, was Longhorn Steakhouse in Victor, NY. With a spacious dining area, one can enjoy a nice private dinner with friends and family without the worry of overcrowding and unintentionally having a conversation with the surrounding tables. The log cabin décor adds to the experience by making guests feel as though they are far away from the city while they enjoy their meal.
The steakhouse offers attentive and speedy service, from the moment you step foot inside, you are greeted, names taken and are given the choice of either waiting with other patrons in a comfortable seating area, or at a wooden, cabin themed bar with an adequate selection of liquor and beverages. Once seated, if a refill on a drink is needed or a drink order needs to be taken, it is done so immediately. The wait staff is attentive and quick to make sure appetizers and entrees are out as soon as possible.

It flows nicely and isn’t over crowded with selections. For an appetizer the “go to” would be the cowboy fries. A sharable appetizer, the plate arrives with a mountain of fries, covered in warm chili topped with melted cheese, sour cream and bacon bits. This opening act is a crowed pleasure and sets the stage for the main course. For the entrée, I prefer to go with the 240z porterhouse, medium with a side of mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. The steak is cooked to perfection over a wood fire that you can taste in every tender bite. Pair this with a warm serving of mashed potatoes and gravy and you’re in steak heaven. Let’s face it, the steamed veggies are really just an attempt to make yourself feel better about your recent life choice, just add a little pepper, you’ll be

Chick-Fil-A is the largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the United States, however CFA is limiting it self from reaching the full capacity of other chicken based fast food restaurants. Although they have a solid base here in the U.S. a company so successful could greatly benefit from a more diverse outlook. Since 1986 the company has experienced gradual growth and is currently concentrating its US expansion to Western and Northeastern states. As of now, the company has no intentions of international expansion. CFA is also a Christian based company, and is very public about its beliefs; In fact it is the basis for which they attribute their success, and excellence.…
