Mestizaje, or racial mixing, can’t be labeled as a “fusion of indigenous people, and Spaniards or Portuguese”, because there are more than those cultures for the overall view of Latin America. For example, Africa and Asia have made an impact. Africans made it to the “New World” with the conquistadores,” we see their influence … especially in music”; and Asia’s decorative techniques that have brought on the cultures upbringing of Latin America.
