My task is related to Part III: Literature-Texts and Contexts section of this course. My written task are a series of journal entries in the point of view of Meursault expressing his feelings and actions based on explicit and implied events from the novel, The Stranger, by Albert Camus. In writing the entries, I wanted to show the character development of Meursault prior to him leaving school (first entry), then when Maman is placed in a nursing home (second entry), and finally before his execution (final entry). Another exciting thing I did was I recently got hired for a job. It’s tough working and going to school, but it’ll allow me to continue and pay for school as well as buy the commodities that Maman and I need. I met a girl at work. Her name is Marie Cardona, and she’s the new typist. She’s a doll. I have feelings for her, but I’m not quite sure that she has those feelings for me, I think she does. Maman is doing okay. She’s rather quiet, but she does her own thing. The apartment I’ve gotten is perfect for the two of us, we each have our own space. I had never been very attached to her, but we get along fine. One thing we do enjoy doing together however is our evening walks. We once walked all the way to the beach and just sat on the sand and watched the water as the sun set. It was beautiful. Although we have our differences, it’s almost like we are alike in a
