Communication is the process of sending information between two or more people and can be done in different mediums like oral, written, music and body language. The communication process is different steps that the message goes through before it gets to the receiver. First it starts with a sender who is the one that will construct the message that is to be sent into words (or a video, song, gestures). The next step of the process is the message channel which is the medium that the message is being sent through (email, phone call, MSN, posters). How does stress increase the chance of group conflict?
Stress increases the chance of group conflict because when we are under stress it can causes our commination and listening skills to suffer. When you are stress you often don’t listen to what others have to say and you are more likely to be verbally aggressive. When you or your group are under stress you have difficulty meeting due dates and constantly have disagreements on everything. Being stressed can affect the way you look at situations and can cause you and your group to panic and rush important decisions.
7. List several observable and measurable ways you can improve your active listening skills.
Ways you can improve your active listening skills are by always making sure to make eye contact with the speaker, you can show that you are interested in listening to what the person is saying. You could avoid making distracting movements like looking at your phone, or watch. If you don’t understand what is being said you can ask questions to clarify and show your actually listening. You can also ask questions to explore the topic more and get more information. Being an active listener is more than just listening to the other person’s words you want to be able to fully understand what is being said and show interest in the
