The person that I have chosen for my living history is Lionel Messi, the best soccer player in the world. Messi was born on June 24,1987, in Rosario, Argentina. His full name is Luis Lionel Andres Messi. Messi shares his birthplace with the Argentine revolutionary Che Guevara. His parent’s names are Jorge and Celia Messi. When he was a little kid, he was diagnosed with growth hormone deficiency. G.H.D means that you stop growing at a certain height or you grow really slow. The treatments for his growth hormone defect cost $900 a month, but his family was a middle class family so they could not afford his treatments.

One season, Messi played for both Barcelona and Argentina at the same time. In 2008, Messi won an olympic gold metal for Argentina. He won the FIFA best player of the year award in 2009. In 2002 Messi scored five goals in a single championship league match. Messi says that when you play soccer you have to have fun and that it doesn't matter if you lose or win just have fun. Messi also made the record of the youngest player ever to score a professional gain in 2005. Messi's parents spent half of his youth career at FC Barcelona, when he was 17 he was the third youngest player to ever play for Barcelona. At the age of 24 Messi was Barcelona's all time top scorer, Bojan Krkic and Messi are cousins, Barcelona was quick to pick Messi because of his sweet skills. Messi makes $35 million a year in salary, he was offered a place in the national team by Spain which he did not accept.
Messi and his girlfriend have been together since 2008, they have known each other since they were 5 years old. Messi became a father in November of 2012 when his wife gave birth. Messi has two kids, Thiago who was born in September in 2012 and Mateo in september in 2015. Messi married his girlfriend after they had their kids, Messi says that his wife is his partner.
