Lifestyle Assessment After I took this assessment, I was informed that I was at a higher risk for heart disease and diabetes. I knew while I was taking the test that I would have to eat better foods, and exercise more than I was exercising. I had bad eating habits and was not active enough which is why this website told me I was at a higher risk for heart disease especially. Heart disease and diabetes run in my family, and I do not want those things to happen to me. That is another reason why I was put up at a higher risk for developing those diseases.
Target Behavior At the beginning of this project, I took a test on healthfinder and decided that my target behavior for this project would either be nutrition or exercise. Physical activity is one of the best things to do to prevent type 2 diabetes, some cancers, and heart disease. In this article, it states that with daily physical activity or exercise comes great benefits for your health. Although exercising isn’t the only thing to do to prevent these types of illnesses, it is one of the more important ones. A big number of deaths would not have happened if a certain risk factor had not been present. These types of risk factors could have been avoided with exercise. That reason alone is why I feel exercising should be a top priority to keep me in a good, healthy condition. The benefits that can come from exercising everyday is worth living a healthy life in my opinion. If somebody wanted to avoid getting heart disease or cancer, I think, after reading this article, they should start with exercising regularly.
