Now Dossie is one of the many LifeLine Animal Project volunteers who dedicate their time to take care of animals in the metro Atlanta area. LifeLine currently has two Spay & Neuter Clinics, one in Avondale Estates and another in College Park, where they have already fixed over 85,000 cats and dogs at little to no cost for owners who would not have been able to afford the procedure. Great progress towards their goal is being made at both of their facilities, where the euthanasia rate has already been lowered over 50 percent.
"It’s great to see the progress that we’ve made even within the last year," says Craig Blythe, volunteer and event coordinator of LifeLine Animal Project. "I focus on planning our events, getting volunteers trained, and stuff like that. So I see first hand how grateful people are that we can provide them with things they couldn’t have afforded elsewhere. I get to see how many animal-lovers are ready to give up their weekends and spend it actually helping animals. It reminds me how important what we’re doing
