Yann Martel, wrote an incredible novel, called Life of Pi. The Life of Pi was phenomenal. Pi Patel was stranded on the ocean, in a life boat, with a tiger, for 227 days. Surviving on nothing but faith and hope. There were two stories. One with the animals and one with the people. Everyone views these two adventures differently. Some may find the first story is better than the second, or vice versa. Which is the better story? Which story is more believable? The details in the text with the animals is extraordinary. There is so much more proof that the story with the animals is the better aspect of the novel. The animal story has more pages and more outrageous details. Although, some may not believe it. Someone would not be able to come up with such a detailed story for it to be the worst story. The fear in the story helps one believe it is better. The fear of being with and losing Richard Parker is so incredible and believable. The hope and faith of surviving is much more comprehensive. It reflects how he feels about surviving with Richard Parker and the other animals that were with him at the beginning. The story with the people is not the better story. It’s not as emotionally valued as the ones with the animals. This story doesn’t have any have anticipation or emotion to the story. The story is too simple and is leaving out a lot of information than the story with the animals. The information in the story with the people was too basic, it took such a short amount of time to come up with. In the story with the animals it was written in 227 days. Not 20-60 minutes. The animals in the story are a huge part of the text. If the zebra, hyena, orangutan, and tiger weren’t in the story, there wouldn’t be a story. The other three animals besides the tiger were also important because if they weren’t in the story everything would be different. Pi and Richard Parker would have met differently. Pi most likely would not have felt so secure with him. Pi wouldn’t be as emotionally attached to Richard Parker if the hyena, zebra, and orangutan didn’t fight or arrive on the life
