The symbols and pictures on this page represent Liesel’s story, The Book Thief. Like a few other books, Liesel got this from Ilsa Hermann. Contrasting from her other books though, The Book Thief was Liesel’s novel she had been writing since she got it, and up to when her street (Himmel Street) is bombed during an attack. The book is retrieved by the story’s narrator Death, and returned to Liesel after she eventually passes on.
