Local level, state level and federal levels are among them. Federal level control is the highest control of all the three government controls. Federal government implements and regulates the government policies all over the country whereas state government implements the policies in the state basis. Local control government is the government that is close to an individual as this looks over the policies and maintains them in the local basis.
According to the article “Liberty trumps local control” , local government is very important as it remains closest to the people. 1 It talks about the superiority of local governments over state governments to communicate to public on various issues in the areas of “public education, zoning, fore codes and traffic regulations” (Rinaldi). …show more content…
Since state government has higher voter turnout, they are not affected by interest groups to great extent and hence, state government should look over and eliminate the practices that are against the public favor. In this case, I think state government should tear out the local government.
7 I do not think it is hypocritical for the state government to impose its will on the policies of local government. Anything done in the local level, affects the state and the people. Therefore, it is important for state government to look over the local government policies and point out whenever they seem wrong. Also, state government being a higher level of government has a right to look over the lower level which is, the local government. In the case of fracking, it is very important for state government to interfere as it involves the people as well as the state on the whole.
