To Whom It May Concern: October 29, 2013

As Kapolei High School’s biology teacher I am writing to recommend Stephanie Gutierrez
Stephanie was my Biology student for one year 2012-2013. Along with being involved in many school extracurricular activities such as weekly piano lessons and volunteering at the Performing Arts Center of Kapolei, Stephanie was a very conscientious student and always put forth her best effort in class and outside of class. In class she was always eager to participate in class discussions and during question and answer activities you could tell that she understood the concepts studied in Biology. She also works well in a group situations we had two group projects studying the coral reef and genetic engineering

A letter from John William Law shows the truth of World War I from an experienced Canadian soldier, who has taken his turn at the front line trenches. Law writes about his perspective of current events in the war, the harsh unknown realities of war, and new, unfamiliar truths of a life left at home. John’s positive thoughts on the Battle of Vimy and questioning thoughts of the new American troops shows the attitude of many Canadian soldiers in 1917. Law describes an American he encountered as, “the typical bluffing flag waving patriotism type and took delight in rubbing our fur the wrong way. It doesn't do.”…

Rachel Meyers is an ordinary college student, going into the medical field to be a gynecologist, and has a job. She always tries to be optimistic, despite all the stress she is under. At times, her actions might portray that she is a timid person, but do not be easily deceived. If needed, Rachel can take charge in any situation and overcome the problem laid before her. I have seen her take our whole youth group and pull them together to do various events.…

I hope this letter finds you and the rest of the family in good health. My parents and I are doing well, but we continue to worry and pray for our friends and neighbors who are either serving in the Union or have loved ones who are serving. My friend James was considering enlisting as a private in the New Jersey regiment, but a letter from his friend, George B. Wright urging him not to enlist has James reconsidering his decision. In the letter, George talks of the fatigue, and in his words, “your health would break down before you had been in service a month” (Lurie pg. 160).…

Dear J. Madison, I have the utmost respect for you, but something has been puzzling me lately, I simply cannot comprehend why you oppose the Connecticut Compromise so deeply. I despise that we are in an argument about the ways our government should work. The Constitution would not have been as grand as it is if not for you, however your Virginia Plan does not represent smaller states, such as my home in Connecticut, New Jersey, and many other states are in agreement. My idea is a compromise, which involves each state, it includes bicameral legislature, with one part proportional representation and the other half involving each state having one representative. I know you are a busy man, but I hope that you will consider voting for the good of…

Adrenaline rushed through my tensed body as though I inched toward the edge of a cliff ready to jump off. Governor Hutchinson just rejected our plea to send the Dartmouth back to England, and everyone in Boston couldn’t take much more of England’s petty games of taxation and their seemingly unlimited power over the colonies. Once the governor’s answer came to everyone at the Old South Meetinghouse, I think we all felt something needed to be done to send a message to England that we had enough (Brooks). Being a part of the Sons of Liberty, I knew a plan was being devised no matter the outcome of the Dartmouth situation. We could hear the Dartmouth bellow while coming in to dock, and far off in the distance could be heard the Beaver and the Eleanor.…

A Cry for Help An indentured servant named Richard Frethorne, from the Virginia plantation Martin’s Hundred, wrote letters to his mother and father begging them to “redeem” his indenture.1 The letter written by Frethorne opened up his parents eyes and the eyes of other Englishmen to the unforsaken truth about indentured servants, the conditions they were living in, and what hardships America was going through (e.g. disease, starvation, and death.) Frethorne wrote his parents a letter in hopes of revoking his indenture and returning home to England. If the Frethorne family were unable to do that, alternatively, selling meals with “good folk” or sending him food to sell in America to pay back his indenture.…

There are many things in this world worth waiting for. Love, surprises, and rare occasions are among these cherished things that we as humans wait for. Even though I believe Edie made the wrong decision in waiting for Mr. Watters’s letter, somehow by a twist of fate she found her true love while waiting for a false one. I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to review my letter of appeal. The sole purpose of this letter is to highlight the reasons behind my poor average this past academic year and the steps I am taking to make sure my average will be well above 60. Towards the end of October my grandmother was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer and became seriously ill as her body could not handle the chemotherapy. Over the next few months it worsened and she eventually passed away in February. Not being able to be there for my family during this unfortunate time period and imagining what both my parents, who work full time were going through made me even more stressed and depressed.…

    Letter To Daddy

The poem “A Letter to Daddy” is written in a letter format, composed by a faithful son with a kind heart that yearns to see his father again. The boy describes how well he is currently living in the Scout camp during the Holocaust. The tone of the story consistently stays happy, despite the unfortunate fate he’s most likely headed to, along with his mother. Although the way the boy writes to his father remains strong and positive, it still made me feel downcast. Jewish people were treated as an outcast to society, and the boy was so appreciative of what he has, even through this dreadful experience.…

This memorandum gives guidance on how to properly ensure the safety of every patient of this clinic and what to inspect to avoid hazard throughout this facility. As nurses and assistants, everything you do should be revolved around the patients, their safety, and what the best way is to take care of them. To do this it is important to get a proper history of the patient when they are first admitted. For example, be conscientious of the different types of medication they brought with them and be aware of the different types of medication they had previously been on. If necessary, contact their general practitioner and get a summary of their previous care.…
