I recently read the book In the Time of the Butterflies, and was assigned a project that required me to make a mock book cover for the book. I am currently writing you this letter to explain why I did my book cover the way it is. My book cover is a picture of a blue butterfly on a leaf in a forest. First, I choose the picture of a blue butterfly because when I saw the picture, I automatically thought of a tropical place. Since the setting of the book takes place in the Dominican Republic, I thought a tropical butterfly would go great to symbolize the tropical setting of the book.
