Most people would agree that in the past they thought everyone would want equal rights but that is wrong. If anything back then the white individuals assumed that if black people waited long enough, their situation would naturally grow better. Some white individuals did not even know about the suffering and humiliation the black individuals went through. “But when you have seen vicious mobs lynch your mothers and fathers at will and drown your sisters and brothers at whim; when you have seen hate-filled policemen curse, kick, and even kill your black brothers and sister…” he states in the letter. The implications regarding Dr. King display how he was being correct all along that it was the correct place and time to have justice for African Americans in the United States. If justice is served towards segregation then the result of it will be having an equal country where everyone has equal rights and everyone will be treated equally instead of being treated differently based on the color of his or her skin. These repercussions of ideas as demonstrated by Dr. King seem likely to happen because unlike in the past we now, a new millennium, not only are against segregation but also are against people who are racist towards people with another skin
