In this lesson plan, students continue to use Lord of the Flies by William Golding as a basis for their assignment. This will give students an opportunity to improve their skills when writing research papers. Students will also be asked to study a set of flashcards for literary terms, which they will discuss in this research paper. Writing a research paper will assist students in learning how to differentiate between sources, proofread their writing, and learn how to format a research paper in Modern Language Association (MLA) style. This lesson plan aligns with the SOL with 12.5, 12.7, and 12.8. Students will first be given a set of flashcards of literary terms to study for the unit test. We will discuss these terms to help students
