Unit 7 Journal

This week, I learned about leadership theories and its applications. There are many theories such as trait, behavioral, situational, contingency, transformational, and transactional theories (Bauer and Erdogan, 2010, page 267). There is no one perfect or standard method, but any of this approach can be useful depending on the environment or a situation.

For the written assignment, I was supposed to choose at least three leadership theories and write about its pros and cons. In the assignment, I wrote about the behavioral, situational, transformational, and transactional theories. I chose those three theories because they sounded appealing and partly I felt related. The behavioral theory assumes that leadership is based on learnable
