About the interviewee: Mrs. Roopina Maan is my interviewee. The reason behind taking her interview as leader was that I know her personally as well as professionally. She acts very professionally and I had a pleasure of interviewing Mrs. Maan. She currently operates three locations of Husky Gas stations in west Kootenays. She is in business platform from last 22 years. She very frankly told me, you know I am still learning. These words surprised me and make me curious to know about her journey like a leader and a learner.

I talk straight to all the employees if they find any difficulty on the work. But sometimes things are not running as we want. During some difficult phase I found that I am still learning lots of things from others, it is also a positive learning for me as a leader. My weaknesses are multitasking job responsibility because I am also working as lawyer too, so I feel that I did not give my 100% in both jobs, due to different nature of jobs. Another thing , she gave me example of as a business person somehow I miss some of the qualities of a leader as I will in the end think about my profit as I am investing money on it.
3. What has been your greatest influence as a leader?
My mother has a greatest influence on me; she was a school teacher and housewife as well. She took care of me. I am discussing this here because she did both work very effectively. I never felt that she did not give me enough time. It does not matter how busy schedule she had but she still gave proper concentration on both work. She inspires us to think big and one thing I want to tell my mother became a teacher, when girls were not allowed to go to school. It took a lot of courage and confidence and that comes from her.
