Law Enforcement Interest

Ever since I was a child I have always taken interest in the law enforcement field. I’ve never really thought about making my dream become a reality because it just seemed like it was too much for me to pursue at the time. I've really put a lot of thought into it when I was in the process of choosing my major. Out of everything that I could’ve chosen to study in I still had a lot of interest in the law enforcement field. I would much rather study in something that I take interest in rather than something that I have no idea what will come my way and what courses I would have to take. Unfortunately it was not always like that in many situations around the world. There were many times years ago that police officers would abuse their authority and would go the extra extent and would beat the citizens or stop them when they did absolutely nothing wrong. It has made the people scared of the police rather than feel relieved when they see them. Your job as a police officer is to make the people feel more safe walking around in a bad neighborhood because you are their to make it a more of a safe place.

My personal view on law enforcement in my community is quite short. I believe police officers in my community can be way more strict than others and will stop you for any reason they look for. I don’t really see or hear them much in my community. Therefore, have no real opinion on police officers in my community I do believe that they all do their jobs but I stay out of trouble for the most part so I do not see much of them. I do know that a lot of them do drive around the schools area making sure students are where they're supposed to be. Which also does make it a safer zone for the
