Las Vegas Vacation

It was my parent’s wedding anniversary! They planned to go to Utah and Nevada. I came along with them and I’ll be telling you what we did. My first paragraph is about Las Vegas. Next, my second topic will be about Zion Canyon. It is gorgeous and beautiful. Then, my third paragraph is about Bryce Canyon, we were only there for a day. Lastly, I will be talking about Las Vegas, and what we did for the last couple of days that would end our vacation.
Las Vegas A couple of days during our vacation, we stayed in Zion Canyon. We rode a shuttle to several spots to hike several trails. A few trails we walked were Emerald Pools trails. It was a high elevation that we could overlook the river. We walked to the lower and upper emerald pools that looked pretty, but there’s water in the desert! Another trail I like was a short trail, that ended up where you could look at trees and the water was coming down the rock, the trail was called Weeping Rock. One of my favorite walks was walking the Narrows. We walked through cold water most of the time. We walked with our tennis shoes and it was amazing. Other people had special shoes and pants to keep the water out, but my parents and I were

We walked the Queen's/Navajo Combination loop. The trail went very deep into the canyon and when we walked up a hill, it was so tiring but there were unique features. While we were walking we saw the unique bluebird. The bird's wings and body were so bright and were amazed to watch it fly by. My parents and I make our way back to Las Vegas to spend the rest of our time before we leave. The day we drove back, we headed out at night to see a volcano erupt. Sunday, we went to the Valley of Fire, a state park. We saw pictoglyphics on rocks, arches, petrified logs. Then, we drove to Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs. At the Park, I learned about the history of the place, the water was the main attraction at Tule

There are many places I hold dear to my heart such as traveling to the mountains, visiting my grandma or going down to the Russian River and swimming in the freezing green river. But one particular place that stands out in my memory is Mount Shastina. We have gone to Mount Shastina during times of snow and during times of intense heat, which has exposed me to different activities that depend upon the climate. I have been going there, to McCloud, which is North of Mt. Shasta, with my family for as long as I can remember. In the center of a desert lies our rustic cabin with 3 bedrooms and a nice fireplace to keep us warm.…

I went to Rancho Los Alamitos located at long beach with some of my friends and we really enjoyed this place. When we went inside the receptionist was very nice, she welcomed, gave us maps, told us about the timeline room and the video room, and also offered us a free tour around the house if we want. We went into the video room where we spent around 15 minutes watching a short movie that was talking about the history of the place, in the movie it was said that the story of Rancho Los Alamitos preceded these first newcomers from Mexico, and it is also part of the ancestral village of Povuu’ngna, the traditional place of origin of the native Gabrielino-Tongva people of the Los Angeles Basin. Nieto’s great land holdings included 25,500 acres which in 1833 became Rancho Los Alamitos—Ranch of the Little Cottonwoods. After some different owners for this Rancho it was passed to the generations of the Bixby family, the rancho’s last private owners andrenter farmers who worked there.…

I was just so happy that I would get the chance to leave the valley at least once in my life, and I was glad it was with her. After all the planning with this trip, the date finally came when we would go. I was super excited that morning. Ashley didn't understand why I was so excited since, like I said, she had been there a thousand times so it really wasn't even considered a "vacation" to her. It was just getting out of the valley that got me excited; I really didn't care too much where it was, so regardless it was a vacation to me.…

We take all the things we have in supermarket for granted but we never really think of the behind the scenes of our food. Or how cozy and commutable are jobs are compared to some other people’s jobs and most of all that we let ourselves become confined to a single location. This world is so big and there’s so much to learn on everything. Those summers I spent I learned a lot about ranching and had some great experiences that I never knew existed as well.…

As the powerful Colorado River churned beneath me, as it has for centuries, and the relentless sun peaked over the top of the North Rim, I could not help but feel astounded. I was in a timeless place: a place disconnected from the society I had left behind miles ago. Down here, in the lowest section of the Grand Canyon, it was just me, my friends, and the heat. Always the heat. We had started our journey, a run from the Grand Canyon’s North Rim to the South Rim, at 4 AM in a futile attempt to avoid the skyrocketing temperature and finish before the sun became the determining factor in the success of our venture.…

The United States has many wonderful places to visit and vacation, but Arizona is the best state to vacation in the United States because of its many available activities, its landscape, and its state parks. Some activities in Arizona include hiking, shopping, and visiting the high end car dealerships. Hiking is a very fun outdoor activity and one place that is enjoyable to hike is camelback mountain. On the mountain many visuals are present that are unavailable in the northern states such as the cacti, the sand, and the snakes. If hiking does not suit your idea of a fun time Arizona has malls that are mainly outside and when the temperature gets high the misters outside will mist so that the temperature is not bothersome to the shoppers.…
