This movie is about the main character, Lars, and how he goes about his life while seeming to have a disorder. The main conflict occurs when he brings a love doll to life in his mind, but in reality it is just a plastic doll. As the movie plays on the causes behind this are revealed, we get a feel on how the people around him see the situation, and learn how he gets over his “ disorder”. There are many factors that play into why Lars is the way he is, but the main reason in my opinion would be how he grew up without a true family feel in his household.
