Land breeze in the night time the cooler air move beneath the warm air, and the warm air will rise. An example of land breeze is when you're at the lake and all of sudden it has gotten dark and you're in the water and land got so much cooler than the water? This is an example of land breeze. It only happens when it gets darker and the land becomes so much cooler. You would think that the ocean would become freezing when it became dark, and you step out of the ocean and it becomes like you just came out of bed. Think about land breeze like when the warm air moves over the ocean and spreads out and moves vertically. And the colder air moves so than it would be under it. The flow of air to land to an ocean, lake, or river is called a land breeze.

Chapter 1: Weather fronts Cold front: A cold front is characterized as the progress zone where a frosty air mass is supplanting a hotter air mass. Frosty fronts for the most part move from northwest to southeast. The air behind an icy front is perceptibly colder and drier than the air in front of it. At the point when a chilly front goes through, temperatures can drop in excess of 15 degrees inside the principal hour. A cold front is the main edge of a cooler mass of air, supplanting at ground level a warm mass of air, which exists in a genuinely sharp surface trough of low pressure.…

Over the course of the last couple of years, weather patterns have exceedingly changed due to climate change. Overall, climate change is seen as a very controversial issue because some people believe that climate change is a legitimate issue and has been directly caused by humans, while others believe that the weather changes are just natural processes that should be expected to change from time to time and that climate change has absolutely nothing to do with the recent temperature changes that the world has been going through. However, climate change has been proven to be the leading cause of changing weather patterns all over the world, as well as the start of the El Niño effect, which is a series of climatic changes in the Pacific Ocean…

Because the cool moist air is sitting above the ground, it is quickly cooled and begins to absorb the radiation that is from the earth. If the two layers of cool moist air and warmer dry air do not mix, inversion occurs and the lower layer will saturate and hold the water in the air to form a radiation fog. As the ground gets colder, the fog above it will continue to get more and more dense (Ahrens). Advection fog takes place when a large mass of warm damp air travels across a significantly colder surface, such as the Pacific Ocean. The moist air traveling across the cold surface is quickly saturated and therefore a dense fog is created.…

The Continental Divide has a tremendous impact on weather in North America and even as far away as Norway. Situated in the western half of North America running north and south, the Continental Divide creates a wall that moisture rich prevailing winds from the west continually bunch up against. As the pressure of packed moist air continues to build, the prevailing winds carry the energy up the western side of the divide allowing the system to build until it is released to the east to dump its contents over the landscape. Another weather phenomena can occur as well where the weather system stalls at the top of the divide and continues to drop precipitation over the mountain range. One such incident is described by a research team as, “On 16-17…

Differential heating occurs when the earth leans and rotates around the sun that heats the globe year long. Because of so many changes of solar radiation, lower latitudes have more energy than the higher latitudes from the sun. Some locations on the same line of latitude will have different weather depending on how close or far they are to the oceans. Also lakes and rivers reduce the heat temperature because of the large amount of water they hold. When the atmosphere heats up it creates pressure, and different pressures create wind or breeze.…

Imagine having summer all year long, being under the sweltering heat, breathing the stuffy, sick air, and conditions worsening as the day goes by. These harsh conditions are increased by air pollution and climate change through cars and factories; man-made inventions. These innovative technologies have been necessary in order to have a functioning and developing society and economy. However, the belief that humans are the sole cause of climate change is refuted by scientists, advocating that the change in the Earth’s climate is a natural cause. Earth formed over about 4.5 billion years ago, and it has changed ever since then.…
