My poem comes from the point of view as Lady Macbeth. Because of this, I chose to video the poem instead of turning in a written poem or just a journal entry because I can express tone in a poetic video. For example, as the poem goes on, Lady Macbeth feels starts to feel anxious. Because I used a video, I can express this anxiety by changing my tone in a way that can not be expressed in just writing. I also felt that I could perfectly time my poetry with the visual performance that is my balloons to create a symbolic atmosphere that explains the heavy weight on Lady Macbeth’s shoulders. The point of the balloons is to recreate lady Macbeth emotions. When the weight on her shoulders becomes too much, the balloon pops, signifying the last few days of Lady Macbeth’s life. At the beginning, when just one book is on the balloon, the balloon doesn't change its shape, it is still strong and bold like lady Macbeth. But as another book is added to the balloon, it starts to squish, as the weight on Lady Macbeth’s shoulders start to take a toll on her. Finally, when the third book, that represents Macduff’s family is put on the balloon, the weight becomes too much to handle and the balloon pops, just as I recite the words “lady Macbeth takes her last
