Downtown Los Angeles holds L.A. Live, a sports and entertainment district that houses a wide variety of live entertainment all in one location. Whether you are looking to enjoy a sports game, go to a club or watch the newest movie in a cinema, the campus of L.A. Live can offer live entertainment for almost anyone’s taste. Located at the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Figueroa Street, L.A. Live is directly across from the STAPLES Center, which is an arena hosting over 250 events annually including live music, specials events and concerts. Both the STAPLES Center and L.A. Live are owned by AEG which owns and operates a variety of venues, produces music festivals such as Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and owns, controls or is affiliated with numerous companies worldwide. AEG also controlled the overall development and creation of L.A. Live and helped it to become the 4 million square foot successful campus it is today. …show more content…
Not only do they showcase the newest released movies, but they also offer facility rentals for a variety of occasions. Private screenings, corporate events and meetings, and video games on the big screen are just a few of the events that Regal Cinemas can offer. Movie premiers such as The Book of Life, Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Despicable Me have been hosted at Regal Cinemas followed by after parties also on the L.A. Live campus. The cinema also offers a loyalty card known as the Regal Crown Club that allows return attendees to gather credits for free rewards within the theatre. Regal Cinemas has also grown to include a 4DX theatre to better enhance the movie experience.
