Knights To Do In The Middle Ages

A knight was a noble position to do in the middle ages. To expound there are different kind of knights however they all had motivation, to protect, for a lady, or for their god. For example The Knights Hospitaller was developed in 1023.These knights were put together to protect the poor and sick pilgrims. During the crusades the knights were to be sent to defend the Holy Land, Jerusalem from the Muslims. The reason Jerusalem is called the Holy Land because Jesus body was buried there in a cave and the people who buried him put a rock in front of the cave so no one can go in. The legend is that Jesus raised from the dead and moved the rock. Therefore people would go and visit so they can get closer to god.
