Reprisal Doctrine
It is a decree from your king reprisal that every wrong action done towards a fellow townsperson is to be revenged by the victim in the case, the terms of the punishment shall be reviewed by the king but decided by you.

As the Reprisal Doctrine was put into place, not even 10 minutes after it was posted was it tested. Mr. Tact Ful was walking along the street eating a bag of chips when Mr. Jester, an old friend of his, came by and took a chip from him! Mr. Tact Ful was in COMPLETE distress for, he had not given Mr. Jester permission to take a chip. Mr. Tact Ful wanted revenge; and revenge is exactly what he would get. Running to the castle, Mr. Tact Ful went straight to the king and told what had taken place and his want for revenge. The king then summoned Mr. Jester to have him testify. Testify has he did, he didn’t win and Mr. Tact Ful was called to say the punishment and he said “he is to have his tongue removed so he'll never be able to eat chips again!” and as the doctrine stated it was so. Moreover the people still loved this doctrine because it spoke to their desire for revenge.
The town life was going like it did for about another week until a whole family, the jesters, came into the castle with an odd revenge request… they wanted revenge on Mr. Tact Ful for offending the head of their household in public, and taking away his tongue. This was a different offer because the revenge wasn’t there own to take yet, nonetheless the king granted. Which caused another uproar, “it wasn’t their revenge to take!” Said Mr. Tact Ful so the king yet again changed the Reprisal doctrine
