The aim of this study is to assess the capability of psychosocial screening using the KINDEX interview with the three major risk areas, maternal psychopathology, traumatic experiences and perceived stress. All interviews were carried out by nine midwives. They provided obstetrical care in the gynecological department of the hospital using the KINDEX. The KINDEX paper with pencil version is designed to be used as interview by midwife or obstetricians and not as a self-assessment. The midwife had to inform the pregnant woman about the aim of the study, confidentiality and voluntary nature.
