This is all thanks to Karl Benz, the inventor of the first automobile. Benz lived in Germany from his birth on November 25, 1844 to April 4th 1929, at the time of his death. In 1885, he released his invention, the Moterwagen. It was a 3 wheeled vehicle, with a motor attached to the back. There is one seat, centered on top of the machine, and the wheels are very thin. This motor works when the accelerator pedal is pushed down, opening a valve, where gas streams into the engine. Gas is then burned in the engine, causing pistons to revolve. The pressure from the pistons presses on wheels, which turn, and the rotation of the wheels propel the car forward. The car also has a break pedal, which you can press for medal to press down on your wheels, and lock the wheels, stopping then from spinning.
Cars are also built on an assembly line, where workers, and sometimes machines, stand along a conveyor belt or line, and each does a specific task, adding something to the car, or fixing something. By the end of the line, it is completly assembled and ready to be put in stores. Cars and their parts are made from metals, plastics, glass, rubber, leather and sometimes more expensive materials. Special features in an automobile could include clocks, radios, built in global posistioning systems, power outlets and lighters.
The original design started simple, basic, on a smaller frame, with only one seat. Today, Automobiles are very large, with family vehicles sometimes carrying up to 8 people. They also have lots of storage space, and can be very sleek. There are many different body designs, interior models, paint schemes, details and upgrades you can choose to buy.
