Kaleb was referred for reevaluation on 11/1/2016 by David Armstrong, his special education teacher. At the time, the academic concerns were reading and written language. Kaleb is currently receiving special education services under the funding category of Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD). The multidisciplinary team does not suspect any other disability.
The evaluation team met to discuss which components of the previous evaluation required reevaluation. The information available for review included his last comprehensive evaluation conducted 12/13/2013 and his most recent annual Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Scope of Evaluation:
As part of this special education evaluation process, on 11/1/2016, the combined members of Kaleb's eligibility team including a general education teacher, special education teacher and school psychologist had the opportunity to review existing evaluation data and on the basis of that review, along with input from the parent, identify what additional data were needed to complete the evaluation.

Information regarding Kaleb's current classroom performance (observations and assessments), and the observations of his teachers and other providers of instructional or educational services were also included. Kaleb's primary language, racial, and ethnic background were considered prior to selection and interpretation of evaluation procedures and measures.
