When I was introduced to the Korean language, I knew it was something I would love to learn. I discovered a podcast series that broke down the structure of Korean, explained nuances in the language, and introduced new words to my vocabulary. Another tool I favored was Mango Languages, a resource I used to practice Mandarin, Korean, and Igbo. I noticed that my ability to retain the Korean language in a way that would allow me to communication rather than simply listen was quite poor. After coming back to America, I will begin classes at the Korean Culture Center in New York City to build on the foundation created by the immersion program I am pursuing. KGP200 is a 10-week language intensive program. Classes will be from Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 1:00pm. Each four-hour session will include speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The main goal of the program is to allow the students to communicate in the Korean language properly and proficiently with others. There are three teachers for each level and seven different levels dependent on proficiency. Each class should consist of 16 students or less. Not only is the program language intensive, it focuses on teaching Korean
