Juvenile delinquents are minors, between the ages of 10 and 18, who have committed some act that violates the law. But the acts committed are not called crimes as they would be for adults, they are called “delinquent acts.” Also, instead of having a trial, juvenile delinquents are given an “adjunction,” a formal judgment on a disputed matter, after which the juvenile is given a disposition and a sentence.
