Some of these treatment interventions include the wraparound model, the Parent Management Training (PMT) program, and the Juvenile Counseling and Assessment (JCAP) program. The wraparound model was designed to coordinate the available services within the community to maximize effectiveness of juvenile treatment. It is effective in capturing mental health, education, child welfare, and juvenile justice issues and aims to be child and family centered, focused on strengths of families and individuals, community and cultural relevance, flexibility, and the coordination across all agencies involved. The PMT intervention is based on social learning theory and teaches parents how to modify interaction between parent and child to develop prosocial behaviors in their youth. These methods provide juveniles and parents with education, resources, and assistance that suits the needs of the juvenile. Depending on the individual needs of the juvenile, multiple programs may be required to address all of the issues identified. Although treatment methods are all focused on the same outcome, there are some difference between the multiple methods available. These differences are primarily how the method is delivered and the resources used to obtain the end state. Some programs rely on social network settings like communities and schools to assist with the treatment process, while other programs may assign a personal counselor to be a full time mentor. The program that is considered for use is driven by the individual juvenile’s requirements and how much individual attention they may need to maximize rehabilitation
