Planet Jupiter, the largest of the gas planets, reigns superiority in the solar system. It is the fifth planet from the sun and features unique properties that are unlike Earth and other planets.
Jupiter is one of the five planets including; Mars, Saturn, Venus, and Mercury, that can be seen with a naked eye. Its massive size makes it hard to miss in the gleaming night sky. Due to their visibility, the planets have been observed by many cultures and were given various names. The Romans named the planets according to their appearance, being the largest planet in the sky Jupiter was named after the Romans most important figure; the King of the Gods. Much similarly, the Greeks followed the same ideals and named the planet Zeus, after their King.
About 4.5 billion years ago, most likely after the sun was created, Jupiter formed. Gravity pulled swirling gas and dust together to form this giant gas planet. Being the first planet to form after the sun, Jupiter received most of the suns left over mass. This caused the planet to contain more than twice the combined material of other planets in the solar system. Jupiter

To overemphasize, you could fit 1,300 Earth’s or all of the other planets of the solar system in Jupiter. The planet would even be 2.5 more massive than all of the other planets in our solar system combined. Jupiter’s largeness is thought to be because it had plans of becoming a star. Although that option no longer exists (Jupiter would have to become 80 times larger to become a star). The planet still remains ginormous to its predecessors. The gas giant has a radius of 43,440 miles, making it 11 times wider than Earth. And its mass is 318 times bigger than the earth. In practical comparison, if the Earth was the size of a penny, Jupiter would be as big as a soccer ball. The massive planet lies about 484 miles from the sun. Making it 5.2 astronomical units away. At this distance, it takes the sun about 45 minutes to travel to

Venus has densest atmosphere out of the four terrestrial planets comprising 96.5% of carbon dioxide, 3.5% of nitrogen due to this the atmosphere reflects about 70% of the sunlight back into space, making the planet the second brightest natural object in the sky. Venus has been named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty. Venus takes 245 Earth days to rotate once its axis.…
