In my honest opinion , I believe that JROTC might grow big enough to even include some countries that don’t have military bases occupying them. I also think that JROTC should be allowed for middle schoolers as well. If I am honest being an Army Junior R OTC cadet has changed my life for the better. It has shown me the true meanings of citizenship and it has persuaded me to try my hardest with all my accomplishments.
There are some people who think that ROTC is just a program to try to get us into the army but in reality it is just trying to make us better citizens in this world. JROTC also tries to make us believe in ourselves. JROTC is a continuing success story. It started off as just a modest beginning of only 6 units in 1916. But now JROTC has expanded to 1,645 schools today and to every state in the nation and American schools overseas. Cadet enrollment has grown to 281,000 cadets with 4,000 professional instructors in the classrooms. Consist of active duty Army retirees, the JROTC instructors serve as mentors developing the outstanding young citizens of our country. Without Colonel Hodges and Sergeant Baker the cadets of PCSST might not be the way we are today so a big thank you goes to
