Due to instinct, parents always seem to choose what they think is best for you. Juliet, considering that her choice was more of a wise idea, ended in a tragedy. In the play we were told that Romeo was a bit older than Juliet but the age wasn’t said. Since Juliet was still very young she could have been under peer pressure to be in love only because Romeo was said to be. Juliet and Romeo both were not fully developed as adults so saying that they were in love so they could have confused their love for lust at first sight. Many ninth grade high school students may take this as a literal piece that you can control who you love and lust for and that, love is more important than anything else, even life.
Although there are some things in this play such as self harm, disobedience, and lust, this play also has some lessons that can influence the students to learn a lesson from the plot. All of these topics can show the students what it is like to be in love with someone at a young age and all of the consequences. It can make you think about how you don't want to be in the same tragedy as the characters in the play. Many of the students who read The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet won’t want to make the same mistakes they did, and it helps us understand more of the olde english, and
