In the first verse the white men talks about white privilege, paying taxes to help the people who live in poverty/as a minority, etc. After this verse, the second part with the African American begins he points out situations where whites are using the “N-word”, how blacks have it in our society harder to fit in, slavery, police brutality, etc. "I wish we could trade shoes or we could change lives, so we could understand each other more, but that'd take time...I'm not racist, but there's two sides to every story and now you know mine” …show more content…
After both individuals let out their frustration about each other we need to understand where they’re coming from. This amazing and speechless concept shows at the end of the video both men hugging each other. This is a sign of optimism, as an eye opener for society, something to think about in how to change our society into something better so our future generation do not have to go through the same struggles.
