Have you ever wondered what the future may hold for you in whether it’s through a sport, through an instrument, or just through life? What if something so tragic came in the way of accomplishing that dream, and your life was flipped upside down? In this world, there are many different ups and downs. We have many kids in this world struggling with life-threatening diseases, and different sorts of cancers. A young girl named Jordyn started to complain about aches and pains she was having. Since Jordyn was a competitive gymnast, many doctors didn’t think much of it, and they had thought she just had a sports related injury. But after a while of the pain, she was in tears because she felt so bad. After going to many doctors, Jordyn found out she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Acute

Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital helps treat and defeat childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital first opened on February 4th, 1962 in Memphis Tennessee. Danny Thomas, the creator of St. Jude’s, had a goal to open a hospital that would and to treat kids no matter the circumstances. He began to raise money to build the first hospital, and his wife traveled across the United States sharing the dream and idea of starting St. Jude’s. Danny Thomas, the founder of St. Jude’s, mentioned that no matter the race, color, or the family’s financial income, the hospital would give treatment to any kids who needed it. Not only has St. Jude’s help kids get the care they need, they also help out families a ton. This charity brings in money from many different sponsors, and they have different opportunities for people to donate money and sometimes even donating gifts around the holidays. According to the article The 100 Largest U.S. Charities, St. Jude’s is ranked number six in the largest charities in the United States and they have a revenue of $1.4 billion
