In the book “The Call of the Wild” by Jack London the story of an amazing dog named Buck is told. Buck is a half Saint Bernard and Half Scotch Shephard dog who is stolen from home and left to fight for himself. He is a very loyal companion the one of his owners who goes by the name of John Thornton. He is a very brave dog who isn’t afraid of anything. Lastly, he is a very caring dog that will do anything to protect himself and his owner. Buck is a very loyal dog and companion to his owner John Thornton. He would do anything to protect John Thornton and that is why he is a very loyal dog. In the book when John Thornton told him to jump off a cliff he did it without hesitation. He did this to show John Thornton that he would do anything to please him. Secondly, he is always watching out for John Thornton and never lets John out of his sights. Lastly he will do anything to protect John. In the book he attempted to kill a man named Black Burton after he punched John in the face. When John was killed by a group of Indians called the Yeehats he killed as many of them as he could. Buck is also a very brave dog that is not afraid of anything. He is a very caring dog because in the book “The Call of the Wild” every time Spitz (the old alpha male) was punishing his teammates Buck always jumped in to protect them. He protected John Thornton from whatever might have been a threat to him. Buck constantly keep an eye out for him and when John was killed by the group of Indians Buck lost it and killed as many of them as he could. By doing that it showed how hurt he was and also how much he cared for the one owner that truly loved him, John Thornton. Buck also played with his wild brother the wolf and didn’t attempt to hurt him once showing that he cared for the wild
