Without the hope of being able to change something, there is no way the people who want change could actually do it. To make change happen, there first has to be confidence in the incentive for the change. Without that, there is no drive to perform the other commandments that are listed. Without having that certainty and hope of knowing something will change from the efforts of their movements, groups that are trying to change the world wouldn't work as hard... without the belief, they'd assume that everything they're doing is for nothing, and what kind of person would put effort into something that they think will lead to no change? For example, if the movement for a better ecosystem was not backed-up with the hopes that people will change to save the planet, why would they continue to put effort into changing people's minds to be eco-friendly? It was not plausible in my mind to think that humans could integrate the advanced technology they showed in their video into their daily lives. However, after sitting and thinking about the possibility of these products becoming a real thing, I realized that humans have come to a time where computers can be further integrated into our lives - we are essentially putting all the iPads and iPhones into permanent places such a walls, counters, cars, windows - it's not a very large leap from what we already have. Things that are already very easy with our technology we have now, like getting dressed, communicating with family, showing presentations, and doing homework will become even easier with the conveniences that are brought with the corning glass. However, a look into our society with technology already makes an argument of technology becoming a bigger problem than advantage. Today's technology can be argued to be a distraction for our society from the real problems (wars, the environment, poverty, etc...). Adding the permanent installments of this technology could eliminate any means a person might have to disconnect themselves from technology - there might not be a way to detox from the distractions technology has the potential of giving if we are not
