John Kovac It’s amazing realizing where I’m sitting. Here I am right beside famous scientist John Kovac here in Wolbach Library at Harvard University. I’m astonished to see this magnificent library and I can feel the knowledge surrounding me. What’s even more impressive is that this library is mainly focused on astrophysics. As we are about to begin the interview John Kovac prepares himself my drinking a bottle of water and laying out a couple of awards he has won.

What is your career?

Well, I do work and do studies on the big bang but mainly I am a professor the Astronomy and Physics Department at Harvard University.

What type of work have you done on astronomy?

Well, me and my team of radio astronomers had found the imprint of gravitational waves from the Big Bang.

Which schools have you attended that have helped you out in your career?

I have attended Princeton University, there I studied mathematics and I received a Bachelor’s degree. I have also attended the University of Chicago and there I studied physics and I received there a Masters and Doctorate degree.

What do you think your biggest accomplishment has been that you have been very proud of?

Well that’s a tough one! I would say two years ago we discovered some information on an inflation on the Big Bang. My team and I were very proud of our accomplishment and we were very cheerful to see that our discovery was published on so many science websites.

What is this “Inflation on the Big Bang” exactly?

My team and I discovered these B-modes and what we were able to determine is that the light began saturating the universe years after the Big Bang. I believe it was about 380,000 years after the Big Bang.

Eliza Revell Big Bang Theory Task-Science 2015 10CH For a very long time the Big Bang theory has been one of the most talked about topics in science. Most astronomers believe that the universe began with a ' Big Bang ' They believed that it happened about 14 billion years ago. At that point in time, astronomers think that the universe was inside a dense kind of 'bubble' that was thousands of times smaller than a pinhead. They think it was extremely hot and denser than anything we could possibly imagine.…

For the purpose of this paper, I will give my interviewee the alias of John. As I am open to an academic counseling position at either a two-year or four-year institution, I asked John, who is a current fifth-year mathematic student at UCLA, if he could assist me with his paper. John and I met at a local coffee shop near UCLA where he took a break from his studies to be interviewed. John is single, 22-year old, heterosexual Latino male who is studying mathematics, as previously mentioned. When I asked him about his short-term and long-term goals, he mentioned to me that he wants to finish this quarter strong but ultimately, he wants to start his own business in advertisement marketing.…

A planet bigger than any in our solar system may be lurking in the darkness slowly getting close to our solar system again from a 15,000 year journey. Now what might this planet’s name is? Planet X or Planet Phattie which was discovered in 1906 by Percival Lowell in the Lowell observatory in Flagstaff Arizona. But some farther into the past, a mathematician Urban le Verrier in 1846 discovered Neptune since there were irregular patterns in Uranus’s orbit, and scientists think since new little patterns of random tugging at Uranus that’s when a new theory comes in about a 10th planet by Percival Lowell. 1930 they kept the project going found Pluto realized it was too small to be tugging at Uranus.…

One observation of the 20th century is that the universe is expanding. This expansion basically says that the universe was smaller, denser and hotter in the past. When the visible universe was half the size it is now, the density of matter was 8 times higher and the cosmic mcrowave background was twice as…

In the mid 20-ies of the last century the American astronomer E. Hubble found that the distance between galaxies in the observable universe is continuously increasing, like galaxies diverge from each other. At Hubble and his colleagues began to form the impression that the many billions of years ago in our days talking about 15 - 20 billion of the universe matter was concentrated in a very small volume with a fantastically high density, many orders of magnitude superior to the density of matter in the atomic nucleus . Suddenly for reasons which are built a variety of assumptions, it was what is now called the Big Bang, and of flying shards of primary clot began to form stars, galaxies and all matter around us. The explosion was accompanied by a huge bunch temperatures, as evidenced by the cosmic microwave background residual radiation discovered in 1965 by American astrophysicists A. Penzias and Robert Wilson. is a reflection of a billionth degree heat that permeated the universe in the first moments of its expansion.…

Thanks to the contributions of astronomers, we can understand our universe better than ever before. We still have much to learn, but there’s no doubt, with as much evidence as there is it’s simple to understand why the Big Bang is the beginning of the universe. First, there’s Hubble’s Law, which shows that the universe is expanding and started at one point. Next, there’s C.M.B.R. which gives us actual radiation we can detect from the event itself.…

Before Edwin Hubble discovered that galaxies were receding from each other, people strongly believed that the universe was static and there was no component in it which exerted a negative pressure and countered the attractive force of gravity. This belief was so strong, in fact, that even Einstein, upon finding that his equations were predicting an expanding universe, arbitrarily added a cosmological constant to keep the universe static. A few years after GR was published, however, Hubble found that the universe was, in fact, expanding. Not only that, but by plotting the distances of several galaxies against their measured red-shifts, he also found that more distant galaxies were receding faster than those which were closer [11].…

Exciting discoveries are taking place here in Owens Valley. A large array of radio telescopes, designed in the shape of trees, lay scattered across the desert floor, making it look just like a dry forest, artificially. Of course, it would be nice to play a game of hide-and-seek there, hiding between 288 distinct radio antennas under the warm sun. However, that is not where the excitement lies in the students and faculty of the California Institute of Technology, hoping to get a glimpse of how the universe evolved during a period known as the Cosmic Dawn. Bang!…

Edwin Hubble also helped to prove that Lemaitre hypothesis is correct. In 1948 Gamow estimated the strength of remaining cosmic microwave background radiation, saying that the glow of the Big Bang must be cooled after billion of years that has to fill the universe with a radiation about five degree above zero. This prediction was proved by the discovery of cosmic microwave which was 2.7 above zero. This is done by Penzias and Wilson in 1965.…
