During Dewey’s time, education was more centered around content that had next to zero significance with student's’ interest or life. Progressive education is perspective of education that underscores the need to learn by doing. Dewey believed that school’s curriculum should reflect on the development of humans in today's society. He also believed that teacher often provide topics that makes students learn facts in one day to be able to recall that fact and use in everyday life. However, it was useless and have no absolutely no connection to the students everyday life. He formed the classroom by including an education program that is significant to students’ lives, showing them fundamental abilities for what’s to come. Later, John Dewey founded the Laboratory School at the University of Chicago in 1894, expected to utilize the school in nontraditional methods for getting the hang of, utilizing it to test his speculations of an enhanced educational curriculum and a different philosophy of classroom authority. As far as political perspectives, John Dewey would exploit the advance technology and social media world to advance his thought of advancing self-growth and interest. He would agree more to a democratic ideology.
