Already pulled into a life of crime when she was born, Johanne Fröst was already well-traveled before Blackwatch caught up with her and her father, a renowned arms smuggler named Stian Fröst. He was offered an out by them and was permitted to keep his daughter if he accepted, throwing in additional protection for her should anything happen to him. Compelled due to his fierce devotion to her, Stian accepted immediately and the two were soon brought into Overwatch Headquarters. Despite his XO’s uncertainty, Johanne was allowed to tag along during missions, given that she remained at the team’s rendezvous point during the duration of it. She wasn’t allowed to participate in actual missions due of her previous work in the most suspicious division of the organization, which aggravated her to no end but complied for a while until Jackson was accused by the government of crimes she knew were usually conducted by Blackwatch. Not wanting to him to be directly associated with her, she anonymously presented evidence of some of Overwatch’s higher-ups wanting to draw away the attention from Blackwatch’s activities to individual agents they wanted to take out of the picture. She had come close to quitting Overwatch all together right before its disbandment, leaving her with little to no resources on who could’ve murdered her father since she lost all clearances to such information. Johanne decided to go dark for a year then came back as the mysterious drag racing mercenary called Peregrine, a nickname given to her during her time in Blackwatch, and continued with her investigation with Jackson as her main informant over the next few
