My thoughts towards Jimmy Cross in the beginning of the literature were contemplation of him being a fool. Why? For the so far reason on how in the texts Jimmy Cross is living his life on having hope for a girl ,in which this girl name Martha puts on ease his leadership skills. His acts on having to unfold the letters that Martha sends to him, imaging himself with Martha walking romantic hikes and kissing the flaps of the envelope just because Martha lips where there. Arises to my thoughts of thinking of Jimmy Cross as a fool and not a leader. Jimmy withdraws his way of being a Lieutenant, because of his constants thoughts of Martha. However, my change occurred when Cross finally comes to realize that he needed to stop being a fool,
