I decided to research about the missions to bring man to land in the moon.

President Kennedy raised a goal to the United States on May 25, 1961. That goal was that before the sexties decade got ended they should land a man to the Moon and bring him back safe to the Earth.

That goal was the motivation to the scientists overcome all trobles they had. The firsts paragrapfs of the article states this goal with the Kennedy own words to show the importance it has in the achievement.

There were lots of questions to be solved by the scientists. The first ones were what approach they should choose between Direct ascent, Earth Orbit rendezvous, and lunar orbit rendezvous.

After choosing the correct approach to get to the Moon, there were other things to solve, as what would be the vehicles to lauch them from Earth and, other to Land them.

In sumary, there were lots of questions to be answered before they could achieve that goal.

The article I read spend several pages talking about these questions and their solutions.

The mission Apollo 11 put Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the Moon soil on July 20, 1969. And this was one of the most importante days for the Human Race. A total of 12 men walked on the moon from July 20,1969 to Dec. 11, 1972(Apollo

When flight outside of the Earth’s atmosphere was first recognized as a possibility, lunar exploration became a goal. The United States created the Apollo missions to explore and study the moon. People were curious to know what it was like there because although it is an object that is clearly visible, little was known about it. There were six successful manned moon landings between 1969 and 1972 and astronauts were able to collect samples to help scientists understand more about lunar composition and history. Once man reached the moon, however, interest started to die.…

Kennedy took over the presidential reins from a harrowed Eisenhower in the late 1960. Continuing a chronological analysis from the perspective of the Cold War conflict, Kennedy found himself faced with seemingly insurmountable circumstances: America was in the process of a deep cultural recession and needed a solution, needed a way out. Kennedy’s answer was delivered in his famous speech in May of 1961: Surpass Russia entirely by the end of the decade, landing a man on the moon and bringing him home safely. This accomplishment, Kennedy thought, would overshadow the blaring facts that the Soviets had put a probe on the moon, a satellite in solar orbit, and the first man into space, all before the United States.…

I wanted to look at Space Exploration and the Apollo missions. One of the big things in space exploration is trying to find a way to sustain life on another planet. To begin this process they will start on the moon. All the astronauts will land on the moon, they will not leave one in the shuttle. They will begin with 7-day missions until the moon is habitable then will start 180-day missions to get ready for Mars.…

On September 12, 1962, president john F Kennedy delivered his “why we chose to go to the moon” speech at Rice University in Houston, Texas. The occasion of the speech was to address to the American people the importance of returning to space and being the first nation to place a man on the surface of the moon. Kennedy chose this time to deliver his speech because we were currently at the height of the cold war and the United States was beginning to lose the space and technological race against the Russian nation. Therefore Kennedy appeared at Rice University where he delivered his speech to a crowd that consisted of scientists, professors, students, and the general American people. The context that shaped Kennedys’ speech was the importance of mankind to achieve the near impossible feat of landing a human being on the surface of the moon and the profound impact that this accomplishment would have on the future of the human race.…
