It was Kristen’s second time to the Lone Star College-Kingwood’s Human Library event. She was very knowledgeable about her religion and answered all of the questions I had afterwards. To be apart of a religious minority community means to be different from your peers. Growing up as a Jehovah’s Witness was very challenging, but I saw the benefits as I grew older. I struggled as a child because there were rarely kids around me who shared the same beliefs as me. With there currently being only 8 million Witnesses worldwide, running into one outside of my congregation would be rare.
